Inspiration for the past, present, and future.

This is an excerpt from my conversation with Nike John, Owner of The Heritage Club in Boston, Massachusetts. Listen to the complete conversation here!

As a woman in the cannabis industry, it's clear to me that we have come a long way in terms of representation and inclusion. But there's still a long way to go, and it's important to recognize and support the contributions of women in all aspects of the industry.

One woman who has inspired me is Lori Lucian, a professor at Suffolk Law and owner of Major Bloom in Worcester, Massachusetts. She's a true boss, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to meet her and learn from her.

Another inspiring woman in the cannabis world is Carolyn Pino of STEM in Haverhill. She's not afraid to speak up and push back when she sees something that isn't right. She's an economic empowerment applicant, and has been hosting some amazing women's events that are full of love and connection.

As a 13-year-old, the advice I would give to my younger self is to not be afraid to fail. It's something that has held me back in the past, but it's important to remember that things aren't always going to turn out the way we expect them to. It's okay to ask for help, and to go with the flow. Follow your vision, and be confident in yourself.

I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to talk with Nike today, and to get to know more about her and how she's come to be in the cannabis industry. She's a true trailblazer, and I'm inspired by her journey.
